As a lawyer and a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private sector, Johanne brings a wealth of experience in government relations and public policy development to StrategyCorp.

At the Federal level, Johanne has had a distinguished career as Special Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada (2000-2003); Chief of Staff to the Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs (1998-2000) and Judicial Affairs Advisor to the Minister of Justice from 1994 to 1998. And most recently, she was Chief of Staff to the Leader of the Opposition (2007-2009). In these positions, she acquired a solid mix of professional experience in intergovernmental affairs, strategic planning and crisis management, and an expertise in the operations and culture of government. In her senior roles, Johanne has dealt with Ministers, Premiers, foreign Heads of State and Government, Ambassadors, Members of Parliament, Senators, senior civil servants and business and labour leaders.

Originally from Montreal she has served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Government of Quebec (1985-1990) and Executive Director of the Quebec Immigration Review Bureau (1991-1994). She has successfully managed a number of federal-provincial issues and is skilled in operating in complex multi-structured environments.

Johanne has also been a successful consultant in the private sector. She has worked in senior manager positions on various issues including telecommunications, broadcasting and infrastructure. Building non-partisan relationships and driving agendas for change are two of her core strengths. Johanne is well known for her drive and commitment, and for getting results.

Johanne holds a LL.L from the University of Ottawa and is a member of the Quebec Bar.
